Found a few photos. Nothing special. Worked out from my videos that my best lap times from the first session were about 1:12. Second session I felt faster but never actually got a clean lap in. Videos are coming soon when I get time to edit the shît traffic out.

Yep national circuit. For such a basic layout I actually found it very enjoyable. Takes a little getting used to how wide the track is. Comparison to the Nürburgring it's like 3 times wider!
Suspension was decent. I see what you wrote in your build thread and it's spot on. Amazingly comfortable over the small stuff.
I'm in 2 minds with the tyres. First I need a second set of rims. But I don't know if to go for a cheap option like the Federal or Nankang, or go balls out on some Yokohama A048r or Toyo R888

Yeah it is really wide so much room, spa is the same.less chance of colliding with the mongs at trax though.

A lot of people say the triple8's go off fairly quick and that the sidewall isn't stiff enough but I know they are bringing out a new one that apparently addresses those issues.NS2 are a good shout especially for the money I nearly bought some myself.like you say the a048 are the kiddies.did you know jdp is selling some in 225 for £450 for 4 only been used for half a track day.thats a bargain considering they cost about £ 220 each.

I did see him selling them for a decent price! Thing is they're 225/45 and I don't really want to roll my arches. Ideally I'll probably go for 215/45 size.

Ok.for the price of the ns2 or federals you could run them as daily also and that would save getting another set of rims but as you say if your going get some A048 don't wanna waste them on the road.

Exactly what I'm thinking. The cheap track tyres are about the same price as the RE050a I use and they'll squeeze on the standard rim. I'll just have to sacrifice some grip when it gets slippy. May get some soon, Bridgestone's still have a good 4-5mm left so I'll store them and maybe put back on for the winter, although they suck in the cold and wet weather

Videos online. I've trimmed down to the fairly clean laps.
First session was good. My lines were off a little. I don't think drinking the night before and having a massive hangover helped

Second session was better. Very little laps that were clear. Ruined by a red flag at the end

Scrolling through some track footage. I came across this video from the Nürburgring I meant to upload. It's from my last trip in May, but a little earlier in the weekend still learning the track. I managed to catch up and at some parts got held up by a Porsche GT3. It just goes to show what a well set up car with a driver that's got some ability can do. I'm no Hamilton, but I think the driver of the GT3 needed some tuition instead of blowing over £100k on a car.

Many thanks for the recent info on the coil overs. I am now leaning toward buying a set of the Zeta-R. Wish I had made my mind up before yours were sold. I'm going to do some more research before committing.

Thanks again, great review on the GT1s
No worries pal. For the price, the Zeta-R is a great piece of kit. MeisterR also have good customer service and are only an email away and you'll guaranteed a response.
Like I said, the GT1 are that next level up in quality of ride and performance. It just comes at a cost. To be honest the Zeta-R was good enough, but I wanted more and the GT1 delivers!

Looked very capable there. Keeping that 911 honest anyway! Be interesting to see what kind of time differences you'll see on the 'Ring between the Zeta-Rs and GT1s. GT1s sound like a brilliant bit of kit, but for the amount of track driving I see myself doing I reckon the Zeta-Rs would be more than enough.

I'm looking forward to testing them out at the 'ring. Although it won't be a direct comparison. The engine is producing more power, I'm hoping to find some wheels with semi slicks for next time and you're constantly learning the track and growing balls. No doubt I'll be quicker. I'd love to get below 8:30 BTG but I'd be happy if I shave 5-10 seconds off my last time.

Was thinking that might be the case alright. Pity there won't be a direct comparison, but be interesting to hear the feedback anyway. If they're as capable as they sound they might be heading to the top of the list for the other longer term project. Need to get some seat time in my own now and finally make the trip over myself next year I think!

Like any comparison. It needs to be done ideally on the same day at with constant conditions. No lap is ever the same on the Nürburgring really. Be better to do the test on a shorter track where it's easier to put down consistent times.
It's a fantastic place over in Germany. I'd recommend anyone with a love of fast cars to get down there. Pick your weekends wisely, annoying on bank holiday weekends the British can ruin it with boy racers and total novices crashing causing track closures. Do some track days here, know the limits of the car and your abilities and when at the 'ring, give it some respect! Oh and don't bother when it's wet.

Small update. Got some solid shifter bushes and brass rack slider bush.
Image
I'd previously changed the slider, but recently noticed that annoying rattle noise coming back. This has cured it and steering feels more positive. Shifter bushes make very little difference being totally honest. Every little helps I suppose.
Then I went to go and help my friend hoist his engine out of his R33 Skyline
