Yeah my N7 is slow, its just a toy for the kids now, cant be arsed using it.

Though booting to recovery and wiping the cache partition helps sometimes.

Its worth it on the N7 as the cyanogenmod alters the partitioning.

Never heard of screen tearing on the N5.

The latest kernels that cyanogen have optimised are pretty damned incredible. Rumour has it Google hired back some of the chaps who left to work on cyanogen, to do some optimisation on Lollypop.

Its incredible how much the partitioning difference makes to the speed.

Might do it too although mine is pretty snappy tbh & it's got about 50 escape/100 doors games on it. My 4 year old is obsessed with them.

Just installed Google Now Launcher on my 1+1. Feels like my N5 now & Google Now works smoothly where it didn't before with Trebuchet.

As others have said the battery is amazing. Would have got 2 days out of the 1st charge if I hadn't of put it on charge as I got into bed. It still had 20% left. Missing the wireless charging of my N5 though. One on the bedside & one on my desk.
