I still don't get this - buzzlightyear still roots back to a USB port so it is still usb by default

The only benefit is that my 70 year old mother in law cannot wedge it in the wrong way and break the port (as she has with two kindles)

Other than the above it have no benefits unless it is connected to another port with the same standard which no one other than apple uses

It's FireWire all over again ;)

I like it mate considering I've always had my phones naked until now.
Picked one up based on Amazon reviews. Probably one of the best cases I've ever bought, hardly anything to it but feels pretty sturdy. [smilie=karls_thumb.gif]

This is probably a stupid question, but on the Nexus 5 how do you start a new hangout with a number that isn't in your contact list? I'm selecting "new hangout" and typing the number in the box, but it doesn't give me any option to send a message

Thanks. It only seems to work if you type the number in portrait mode, that's where I was going wrong.

Took my Nexus 5 out my pocket and there seems to be a crack in one corner under the physical screen. Called LG and they say physical damage isn't covered by warranty! That'll be right, whatever the fault is its under the screen.

Your sales warranty, contract etc lies with the seller, so unless you bought it direct from LG, go to the seller first.

If it's Google, they'll probably be pretty helpful, even if you don't get a replacement.

Was bought off a mate so not really wanting my money back but will if it comes to it. But LG seem to be playing ball after sending in some photos showing no damage or even a scratch on the phone.
