this thread went down hill fast. They're both great cars hence why i've owned both. The only reason I got rid of the civic is I barely could use vtec with rain and traffic everywhere turbo made more sence.

I miss the gearbox from the ep3 and that's it.

Hence my original point that an R26 is better than an EP3 but people who are blinkered and have probably never driven a R26 think otherwise.

hot hatches are hot hatches, they all offer accessible performance (both in terms of quantity and price) for the masses. Boththe ep3 and the megane offer good performance for the money, but which one you buy is really up to driver preference.
