So today the DC5 Pedals have been fitted to the car, was pretty straight forward in the end. My mate helped me get them fitted and I would say two people to fit is way easier than trying to do it on your own.

Pretty happy with the results although maybe some black screws.

Also had a fun day leeds106 been polishing and buffing my mates scooby, we got hit by some rain and due to my garage been full at the moment we had to improvise, to the rescue came bricks and dust sheets.

Few more changes, picked up K100 and RBC inlet Saturday. Getting fitted on Monday was originally getting the Toda manifold aswell but due to difficulties swapping arbs etc, didn't take the toda manifold. So I have the DC sports manifold coming next week.

I'm going to run the car on the map it had see how it goes maybe have a dyno run done locally with maybe a re map at TDI.

So productive day Monday

Got the K100 fitted and the keys re coded

RBC all fitted by Ricky P done a great job, car already feels different got to wait two weeks for the DC Sports header to come that's getting fitted on 26th of this month, along with some new drop links and new engine mount inserts.

One thing I notice revs drop to like 500 when stopping at a junction then pick straight back up, I'm assuming this is down to header not fitted yet as the map on the k100 was with rbc and a header.

Update

Had my DC Sports manifold fitted today, new manifold gasket and new drop links while the manifold was off.

Car now all done only thing I have noticed that I'm not sure why it's happening.

K100 I bought was mapped to the rbc, a Toda manifold and aem intake

I obviously have the DC manifold but I have noticed when I'm driving and I come to a junction to stop when I put into neutral the revs drop to 500rpm then it picks itself back up to correct level. It's like it's going to cut out but doesn't.

Any suggestions from anyone

trancem wrote:Might be the IACV mate. Exact same thing happened to my ep3, revs dropped but never stalled. Got Stevie to give it a good clean and all was well after that.

Might just be a coincidence happening the same time as fitting your RBC.

Ah right ill av a look into that then mate cheers, maybe has got dirty with it been on and off

New dc sports great service and communication from 8speed by the way, all fitted down at Ricky Ps garage.

New inserts also put in

Car feels so different now all setup is done, kind of like a rolling road power run see how the map is on my car. Have to look at getting done in new year hopefully get this rev issue cleared up in te meantime.

So I decided after the rev problem and a few emails with Paul I booked for mapping.

Just got back big thanks to Paul and TDI

Car now mapped feels great and much smoother than the map that was on the k100 when I got it.

Paul gave me a fright when he asked if had engine work done as to my knowledge its never been touched, I presumed oh great there's a problem. Actually the car made some impressive power 253bhp he was impressed with it and I'm happy.

As expected if I put a gruppe m on I would make a little more but not bad for a much slagged off typhoon intake.

Impressive figures mate, decent torque curve too [smilie=karls_thumb.gif] top lads at TDI North, epic mapping by Paul.

Suprised it made so much with the K&N Typhoon

Me too mate it would make a little bit better with say the gruppe m but I don't want to spend £350-500 on an intake really
