You told me 450nm though :( and so did few other people, then it started slipping at 220fltb on the dyno, many phone calls later getting part numbers and sizes etc, found out its actually a really old discontinued item with the same name as a new item hence why it was confusing ExedyUK too.

My fault though should have checked 100% before buying

Trimmed the slam panel for the RBC, or more accurately ground the sh!t out of it, tried it up for fitting half a dozen times, thought it was all good so put it all back together then slotted on the T.B and found out the IACV was only a couple of mill away and no room for the connector..... Half hour later and it's all good in the hood.

Re-wired the map sensor whilst i was at it as it's now on top of the inlet so needed longer wires.

Fingers crossed the postie turns up tomorrow with a couple of things including a thermal T.B gasket and longer hose for the manifold. Pics up tomorrow including some engine bay bling! Said to myself at the start if it doesn't make a difference performance wise i won't bother....lasted 5 mins.

Should have some 440 inj's arriving tomorrow as well. Not sure whether to fit them now or next friday when the cars in for mapping. Will i be fine running them with the std ecu till then or will that result in over fuelling?

I'll be putting the front recaro seats up for sale soon enough as well. Really need a decent bucket for the drivers so ended up buying a pair of Corbeau Pro Series 3 Kevlar s/h for the same price as a new single. Should save a fair bit of weight as the recaro's are damn heavy! For the guys not using a cage, i gather the best place to bolt a harness is down the bottom of the rear seats? Is there suitable mounting for 4-pt either side?

Decided on a change of direction for fitting an oil press/temp gauge. Was going to use the sump for temp but the more i think about it's probably the worst place to mount the temp sensor so i'll order up a sandwich plate tomorrow from CPL. Still not made my mind up about mounting it along with the AEM AFR. All the universal pods look shite, Revotec single's an option and mount them both on the dash above the centre fan ducts. Did think about the gear stick surround but want to keep the hazard switch where it is.

Spec's growing arms and legs to i'll get round to it at some point. Just chapping at the bit to crack on with it!

All back together now and looks a little different...

Image

Bit hacked off though as i snapped one of the Skunk studs so i'll send an email off and see if i can get a single replacement. Couldn't get the std studs off the cover either.

Also snapped the water outlet pipe pulling the damn hose off so fitted a crude makeshift for now.

Cars booked in to get mapped on Friday on this bad boy...

And treated myself to a new gearknob. Really like the feel of it compared to the std one!

The jobs for next week...

I'll blast and paint the front/rear arms whilst i'm at it as they're looking a bit shabby right now!

Managed to get it new for near enough the same price as a K-Pro along with the wideband UEGO AFR. Local mapper is familiar with them having done quite a few K20 Lotus etc fitted with them which is a lot handier than driving down to TDI, especially for little tweeks here and there. And just fancied something different!

Spec on page 1.
