I didn't do all the work bought her mostly as she was just did some other stuff wit her. Miss that handling and the sound it was fun but expensive plush I only used it 6 months a year.

Yes and no if I could have kept it I would it just never got used enough. Had no heaters servo or anything had a frot heated windscreen fitted just so I could drive it more

Nice sound but I love the burble of webers and on full throttle could here the golf from far away, neighbours prob didn't appreciate the noise it made, which was constant not like vtec which you have to wait for

Ok so got the wheels coated with my Gtechniq and had them fitted today, here's the result

Haha I want to mate but quote was £536 and I just don't have it currently with wedding coming up. Not sure what drop to get though as I don't want to roll the arches so thinking 20m springs

I've got, and alot of people on this forum have got the ABP/Eibach 30mm springs. They are perfect, keep the OEM ride quality but give it a perfect drop.

Looks good mate seen the eibach ones on eBay for about £150 just all the camber setup and fitting bumps it up. That quote was off grinspeed. Think I may buy bits in stages like just going to test my wheels on thorpys see what rubbing there is as 25 mm drop may be better

tbh you'd need to get arches rolled on the 30mm springs so your better off getting something with a more subtle drop. How about Spoon Progressive springs? theres some for sale right now too!

i recon a 20-25mm drop would be fine although probably worth putting them on mine at some point to see for sure how they are i guess for nothing

Ok so married man now and decided a few things I wanted doing on the car couldn't wait anymore. So I have just secured a 2nd hand JDM rear anti roll bar from a local lad for £60 so hope to get that on in next couple of weeks.


Oh also got some Heko wind deflectors on now, couldn't justify JDM ones.


Also just ordered my 30m springs from apbmotorsport

Car is also booked in @ Grinspeed 10th April for springs fitting and a FRSU so should be a bit different in a few more weeks.

My remaining jobs I would really like done are doors kitted out with some nice new speakers and soundproofing, so if any people in Leeds that are good with this or know any good ICE companies let me know please.

I think after that the modding business will stop, going for looks these days after years of spending thousands on performance to really only loose boat loads of cash.

car will feel awesome and totally different once you get it lowered with frsu and the jdm arb. I need to get myself an jdm arb! Great choice on picking stevie to do your work on your car for you, you'll be very impressed. He knows what he's doing and is a top bloke too [smilie=karls_thumb.gif]

your car is coming along nicely mate. I've heard good things about Pro Acoustics in Dewsbury but not had any experience with them myself.

Good call on getting it lowered. For 536 you could get coilovers and fit them. Nice mods and be sure to get some pics up after it has been lowered.

Ta lads, I'll be sure to put some pictures up when it's done. Be nice to finally see the wheels on the car how I intended.

Regarding the ICE mods I'm going to ask a few friends and then later in year think I'll have a look what I want to spend and do.

Can't think of any other worthwhile things to spend my money on after, performance mods are just too expensive I think for me these days.

Well Monday was presenting delivery day, got my new Eibach 30mm springs arrive and also got my best bargin for this car so far. Rear JDM anti roll bar for £60 2nd hand of a lad who wrote his premier edition off and was one of his bits for sale local to me. And it's all fine
