Hey all,

I'm coming up to 2 years of happy motoring in my 'R' so thought it was about time I started a thread (or shrine )

Current Spec:
NHB 55reg Premier Edition
Custom paintjob on the cam cover (thanks Bren :salut: )
HIDs
Carbon door sills / kickplates
Eibach front and rear adjustable camber arms and FRSU
DC Sports Catback
Refurbed OEM wheels

Plans:
K100 - purchased but waiting for the following before mapping:
RBC inlet manifold - awaiting delivery
ARC induction kit - Likely to be purchased early 2011
TODA manifold - hoping i'll be lucky and a 2nd hand one will come up :multi:

All started with me just casually searching Autotrader thinking I was some months off swapping my Golf for a Type R, but then one came up at a price I just couldn't refuse. After the first clean:


I never intended to mod the car but reading all the 'What I've done threads' converted me :cooldude: The gentle introduction started with the purchase of the carbon door sills before going all out and buying a 2nd hand DC Sports catback After a little Autosol:


Fitted

Wheels re-furbed in gloss black and red rim tape (appreciate it won't be everyone's cup of tea )

Can't wait to get the TODA mani and ARC so I can get it all fitted and mapped at Tdi-North - it will be worth the drive :bigthumb:

All looks good and the future plans look good........not 100% on the new wheel colour but each to their own, might just be bad lighting.

Think I'll just be enjoying it after, no further plans. Not too fussed about numbers/power but would imagine it would be around 240

Guy on here paints spare cam covers to your specification and then sends it to you in the post. you then swap the covers and send him your original cover and he refunds some of the cash! Check out his thread if you haven't seen it already

Thanks Nige! The K100 may be going on sooner than I thought as I may be getting an exhaust mani and ARC over the next couple of weeks. Will then get it all fitted and mapped :cooldude:

Ordered my ARC through Touge Distribution and it will be fitted and mapped along RBC, K100 and this at TDI N :WOOT :

Gutted.... was going to get the above manifold through TDi North at a cracking deal too. The plan was to install and map my K100, RBC and ARC at the same time but sadly I'm still waiting on my ARC from Japan. Paul @ TDi did all he could and held if for me for 3 weeks but he's had to make alternative arrangements in order to get Skunk 2 some figures.

Now I'll have to decide whether to buy a second hand mani or just stay with the OEM mani and CAT and get the K100, RBC and ARC on. Decisions....decisions....

Nice, just one problem I don't have a spare cam cover so I know what I'll be buying this year.

you dont need a spare cover mate. send bren £60 via paypal, then he sends you the painted cover, and you send yours back, so you're not left without one.

Do you not send him 100 and once he receives your old cam cover you get refunded 40.
