Oh god, the geeks are having orgasms about phones now.

There was an interesting observation in the paper this morning about the whole smartphone subject, pointing out that iPhones only comprise 2% of the market, and that smartphones in general were really cutting edge technology rather than the norm, and that the amount of comment about them is out of all proportion to the actual take up.

Just rooted mine fully unlocked and open to tinkering and reverted to the HTC base firmware so no more Orange apps or boot up rubbish slowing my phone down :WOOT

On your SD card create the following directories.

alarms
notifications
ringtones

then put the sounds you want in those directories. Jobs a good un. :thumbup:

We used the modaco guide but he has since changed upgrade the procedure.... u need to be able t use Linux to do this guys its not hard just no good if u have weak hearts as u think u have bricked you phone once or twice in the procedure lol....

The reason for rooting for me is I want the best out of the phone I can now turn on features that were disabled and run custom roms that have upgrades in them and the biggy for me is been able to save apps to my SD card so no more worrying about space!..... and it also debrands your phone I think the Orange apps were using 56mb memory so they r now gone as I have no use for them..... so more space for apps well not now going to be using appstosd program soon.... :salut:
