Hints and Tips for all things Track Day and 1/4 mile.

Monday was a really fantastic day and I had a great time :WOOT

The car was perfect all day and the standard of driving was exceptionally good and was a welcome change to the tourist days  .

We completed my target of 20 laps even staying out at one point for 4 continuous laps (60 miles!) but the petrol tank kept emptying itself at an alarming rate of 8 laps to the tank-full!!!

Really enjoyed it and finally felt that I was getting a grip on the green-hell. Even though it can be seen as expensive I would recommend a closed track day at the ring over 5 or even 10 tourist days.

Highlights for me included building my experience up with more confidence on every lap (not as much as you though Mark83), not crashing!, getting passed by the orgasmic 599XX going into Wipperman and not having motorbikes swarming around!!!

Will get some pictures up when I get 5 minutes.

I'll try and post some photographs later tonight.

I even managed the very last lap of the day, Michaela and I sweeping an empty track of cars in her 206cc. It was about a 20min lap

Ferrari did make it in the end to test their 599XX, sounded rather nice.

I didn't crash which was a bonus :-D
You got past the barriers and onto the nordschleife just before the guy started waving the red flag to signal everybody back into the pits. They then started moving all the barriers back across to seperate GP and nordschleife

Although Jason's R26R was insanely fast  I still did very much enjoy the laps in your integra! i know that's what you call it but sh1tbox it ain't! I was very impressed by your driving and the car   Thanks for a great day mate.

The whole day I was trying to get hold of Chris from ABP but everytime i caught sight of him the FN2 exhaust were heading out the tunnel onto the track!
Fantastic day though. Next time i'm going to have to buy into the group action and come down there with an extra set of wheels with some 888's on!!

Shame you didn't have chance to track me down. I did spend a fair bit of time out on track (after all I had to get my monies worth!) and managed my 20 laps :-D but the only spare time I had was spent either filling up with fuel or drooling over the 599XX :cooldude:

Would love to go back over in August for the next day but we have our second child due in August and that trip most definately would not go down very well :bad-words:
