Surely they should just be getting on with preparing to race, rather than trying to win on technicalities. I'm sure every single team has been taking the rules to pieces over the winter break to find loopholes and interpretations of the wordings, then designing based on the outcome and having their interpretation ratified by Whiting et al, before building it into the car design?

Not long to go now til next week's Friday practice!
I thought it was to do with the engine cover being attached to the rear wing, stalling the airflow over the rear wing producing less drag on the straights.

Anyway Ferrari have already confirmed they have no problem with it. And it's not moaning, they just want clarification so they can copy it.

Interesting and forthright you say ? I don't think so in that case. One thing I feel is wrong, is to bite the very hand that has fed and continues to feed you. If you don't like it, go do something else then, and you can criticise all you like, but to do it whilst still creaming off the top is a distinct no no in my book.

That's a very harsh reaction. He's saying it how he sees it, nothing more. He's not responsible for the headline.

I find it easy to picture him saying those things.

He does come across with a candour which makes him appear arrogant, but let's face it, you don't get to be in his position without a massive amount of self-belief.
That's the way it should be, tbh. Look at Kimi last season ... didn't have the car to compete with the front-runners at the start of the season, so he lost interest and carried his ennui through, past the point where Ferrari had made progress and were competitive again. By that time it was too late to get to the top of the table, so he continued going through the motions. Piss poor attitude, imo ... particularly for one of the highest paid men on the grid.

Webber is a bit of a cocky chap, but he has to be, otherwise he wouldn't be where he is today.
I never used to like him, but towards the end of last season he earned respect in my eyes for getting over his accident and having his best season ever in F1.
At first I was pleased he couldn't quite match Vettel's pace, yet seemed consider himself to be the #1 driver at Red Bull, but then I gained new respect for him and felt a bit sorry for him. Its like he feels he deserves to be considered among the best on the grid, but his name is often overlooked in the list of title contenders.

Not if Wilko gets taken out of the game by the Aussies - which would be the sensible thing for them to do.

Wilko really aint all that - he can kick and thats it. The rest of his game is cr@p ! Without a kicker, England would not be half as good, as all their points come from the boot - very very dull and boring to watch

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Oh, yes. England have been so boring when scoring tries for fun against all the Six Nations sides over the last couple of years. Remember that game in Dublin? My, how dull it was to see those tries being scored. What about against the Wallabies in June? Seeing 13 phases of brilliant rugby resulting in a terrific try just leads to ennui doesn't it? As it was for the other two tries. Now Australia on the other hand, they're so, so exciting aren't they? I mean, the sheer creativity of that interception try against the All Blacks? Fantastic stuff!

Honestly, I wonder sometimes I really do. It was bucketing down against France. The French tried playing with the ball in hand, and what happened? They dropped it, knocked it on, slipped, slid, missed the passes and so on. They scored one try, by a forward who rather luckily received the ball from a cocked-up lineout.

England can play running rugby, but doing so on Sunday would have been suicide.

I know it's only first practise and therefore impossible to assess who the front runners are, but ffs, there are some right donkeys out on that track!
HRT are well off the pace and Heikki's Lotus looked like a right handfull!!

Still, it was great to see F1 cars zooming around a track again ... it seems like forever since the last race.
:WOOT
I'm really excited about this weekend, despite the fact I'm on nights and will have to lose valuable sleep to watch it.
