Opinion:
Its absolutely bad, poor stopping power. After a hard days work at Rockingham its completely knackered and its somehow scored my discs. I cant wait to replace them with something better.
Stay well clear away from Greenstuff!
agreed, these pads score your discs pretty bad, and i couldnt even tell the difference from standard to these!

I had the same call today went in for two tres to be fitted and I end up needing new discs and pads on the front, I knew they were due but its always an annoying shock, lol.

Honda however have managed to convince the missus that the brakes are totally shaged and need replacing ASAP. I have a free run on disks and pads to a point for the front, please anyone simple advice, I have decided on Ferodo pads DS2500's anyone know where I can get a good price, also I would like some grooved discs, any advice and or links and prices always greatly appreciated, many thanks in advance Lee.

Dealer called today and told me my pads are down to 85%.

Now trying to decide if to stick with OEM or upgrade to the Ferodo as I want to do a track day this year.

I just fitted EBC yellowstuff, on both front and rear. Nice pedal feel, good initial bite even from cold and no noise. My previously pads were the DS2500, great also, but made a little noise. I replaced them after 26.000km. I still have Honda's rotors, Goodridge brake lines and RBF600 fluid.

I am happy with the EBC. I don't know however how long they will last.

I've recently opted for Project Mu B spec pads (£175) mixed with Mugen Discs (now £438  )

Absolutely fantastic, cant be beaten once warm and then they only get better.

Pedal feel leaves a little to be desired when cold. Although sure this will change when I fit my Spoon calipers

Justa wee update ive replaced my ebc pads with standard pads as i wasnt using them enough to warrant the extra performance ie from cold theres very little bite.
Also unless youve some good discs these pads tend to groove your discs.
Im going the standard route from now on , i just wish i had just done this before.
By the way its the redstuff pads i had.
Unless you track your car a lot i cannot recommend these pads.

I found the Red Stuff to be a huge improvement over stock.... With stock you could be doing 100mph... come down hard and by the next corner you are wondering where all your braking has gone. Not with the Red Stuff... much better.

How long have you had the pads on your car , i did a years worth of driving , no super fast road driving but i still drive quick but not so quick into corners that i lean hard on the middle pedal.

I've got EBC yellowstuff pads all round on standard discs, feel better than standard pads and very little fade, also alot less brake dust. Was going to go for the redstuff pads but was warned off them by a mate of mine who had a scooby at the time. The yellowstuff pads seem as though they are good from cold and get better as they warm up, understand that the redstuff pads take a while to actually work well?

To be fair EBC always seem to get mixed reviews. Personally i think that this is because you really have to pick your stuff type for the way you drive your car.

Example- if you put red stuffs in their and drive it like you stole it, then you will think they are good. However if you drive it more sensibly, then you will find them poor (too hard and lacking bite). This mainly comes from them never getting up to temp.

EBC yellow i have found better, but again you need to get more heat into them.

EBC Green- well nothing special- maybe slight improvement on stockers, but hopless if you are hard on them.

All that said i just took EBC red out of mine today and went to DS2500. They seem sooooo much better plus no messing with the temperature etc. They seem a much better 'all round' pad.

Cheers,

Ben.
