yes Newannaive it is the v1 thats sits in the bumper , i told here a million times but then women only hear what they wont to dont they,

the funny thing is start no knocks or bangs , but no oil pressure , so unless some think got to the oil pump and blocked the vaule up, it might be ok ? but i will strip the sump of have i look in there , never no might be lucky lol

rains all feckin year in this pox-hole of a country... :badrazz: Doesn't take much of a downpour for there to be lots of standing water on the sh1tty roads round here either, don't know what it's like in your part of the world, but there certainly isn't a "cai safe" season as far as I'm concerned.

This is afine example of why I never fitted my AEM CAI when I bought it second hand off here. Instead I sold it to a chap locally and bought the ITG Maxogen instead.

Sooo sorry to hear this Mate hopefully it just may need a few miles to sort itself although running it may fook the engine completely so please dont take my advice on that :???:

Before you panic, connect up a manual oil pressure guage in order to confirm that there is no actual oil pressure, as you never know your luck, it may just be that water has ingressed the sensor / circuit or engine management.

well i did think about putting a manual one on and seeing but i did take the filler cap of and never splated my hand when i put it over the top and it should throw something up ???

not true, the internal deflector plate would stop that, anyway if you have no oil pressure when you blip the throttle you would hear the bottom end knocking, if you havnt got a pressure guage, remove the pressure sensor and see if if oil is pumped out

i only said that as i done it before and got splatted lol , this is the thing it does not sound that dry , think i might try a oil change first than the gauge then dig deeper

Bottom end knocking is bad! Very bad! New engine time.

You might find that with the oil change it sorts itself out. You don't know how much water there is in there, and the pump won't be able to pump water as it's a lot thinner.

This thread worries me as I have just bought a CAI from someone off the forum.

Did you have the hydro sheild on yours? I didn't get that. Does anyone know how much they are and where I can get one local to south herts
