this is realy good snug fit and before i fitted over filter i run it under the tap and my hand was not wet on the inside it just roll s off also i i put it to my mouth and sucked and theres no restriction with the air!

im that confident with this product iv cut a hole undeer my car where the aem is 4 more air lol!

99% sure i wont suffer with water soak again!

yes this is the hydro cover that i got with my injen cai kit it is as good as no water saok problem injen recomend it with every kit. but it does cost 20 quid

someone care to explain how this protects the filter from anything but water that splashes up from the road? which isn't what causes hydrolock...

who mentioned hydrolock?
water that splashes up from the road and gets the filter wet are exactly the problems some of us face,i can see this cover stopping that.nice one mate let us know how you go on with it. 8)

the water just runs off it! if u submerge the whole filter in water ur in trouble but 4 the times when I've kissed my teddy bear i jet wash the car and and drive off then the engine managment light comes on cuz water has hit the sensor this wont happen again!

That's a mighty pair of lungs you have to reproduce the air flow of a VTEC engine at 8k rpm

Not trying to be smart mate but is the ait sensor no rellocated nearer the front of the grill and therefore if it catches water spray it wont vtec?

I agree that the above cover will stop the actual filter from getting wet and I doubt it would restrict the air flow that much so its worth having for the v1 for sure

Doesn't quite work like that mate. The engine will definately suck harder (i.e. more power) than you (unless your a pro), but it will also be sucking a higher flow rate through than you can. This may mean that despite you being able to suck air thru easily, it may restrict the engine at higer flow rates,

Well I'm down for getting the injen + hydro shield after xmas, changed my order to it from the AEM after the problems others had suffered. So yeah mate, keep us posted how you get on with it please!
