I'm watching this car on ebay - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/262220693475 and was wondering if it's a factory facelift model or if someone has put the facelift parts on afterwards? Is there anyway to tell? It's got most of the right facelift parts in the pics, apart from the door cards. From what I've seen the door cars are supposed to have red inserts, but this car doesn't. I've got the reg number of the car which I can share via PM if you can help.

I can see it's been modified, but since when do people modify their door cards with the pre-facelift door cards? lol

Is there a date from which the facelift model started? Or is it just all '04 registered car's onwards?

Why's he got pre face door cards in it?

The pre face models have the side repeaters in the wings, easiest way to spot one for the novices.

The facelift model is also available on a 53 reg.

I think it's a pre facelift, that has been facelifted, drop him a text and find out because their was a couple of late registered 2004 pre facelift. I own one.

I've asked him and he says he's never noticed the door cards till I mentioned it. If I called a Honda a dealership with the reg no. will they be able to tell me?

If it was me, i'd be moving straight on to look at others... plenty of "better one's" out there for what he's asking!

A HPI report won't tell me if its a facelift model from the factory or if the parts have been added afterwards.

Anyways, will keep looking...

The pre facelift has the immobiliser under the drivers seat. Facelifts do not.
People will go to the lengths of exterior upgrades but the immobiliser is the give away

Also the lights will be chopped and joined at the headlights too as the plugs are different. If you are looking at one in the flesh these are what to look out for if you have doubts

Check to see if there is a temperature display on the speedo cluster as well, pre-facelift didn't have this either...

Doesn't have the face lift inner wing covers.
