When I did a 'factory reset' it wasn't a full reset at all. When the phone arrived it was on 4.4.2, and I had to update to 3 then 4, I hoped a factory reset would put it back to 4.4.2 to hopefully trigger the updates again, but it left it on 4.4.4. Factory reset my arse.

Factory reset never roll back system updates.

I don't think anyone is out to get you, the devices get updated in batches. It's just unfortunate you've received a replacement that is scheduled further down the line. There should be a way to sideload the update if you look into it.

Be nice to remove the tesco stuff though it's not especially intrusive.

Its the most requested ROM request over Xmas apparently, so its definitely incoming. :bigthumb:

In the past they've stayed away from the Intel chipsets as they've been notoriously difficult to unlock, but it seems they're becoming a lot more popular with the cheaper tablets so aftermarket rom's are coming thick and fast.
