Anyone have any problems with out going calls on their N5? And shitty 3G...wondering if its giffgaff or not.

I did on o2. Google ended up swapping it. The new one seemed to have better reception although in the meantime I had bought a One+1 which has much better reception here too.

Worked perfectly for me last night, but it was only pool that was on SS1 when i was trying it out. Will see how it goes for the next 3pm game.

I get similar issues with Mobdro as well. Showbox is pretty much flawless these days.

I'm not sure 100%, but I believe it'll stay on there even when the battery dies. Could be useful for maps, shopping lists etc. And my Ringke Fusion case for the N4 has a clear back, so that could work (although obviously not touch-screen thru the case).

I'm not sold.

£550 is a high price to pay for those features. A map the site of a phone screen that can't be moved around/zoomed in wouldn't be much use. And shopping lists on pieces of paper aren't at the mercy of batteries.

I'm sure it would be a desired feature for some people, but at £550 they're aiming at a real niche market imo

Question time.

I had a Nexus 5 running 5.0, until my lad decided it needed to go in the toilet. So I claimed on the insurance and they sent a replacement. I started to set it up last night, and its only updated to 4.4.4, and stopped. The settings menu says my phone is fully up to date, but where's my 5.0?

The update may still be rolling out. Being a new phone it may be at the end of the list. You may be able to force the update.

My N7 (2013) only just updated to 5.0 yesterday. You could try a factory restore again. That might get it to update??

It came factory fresh yesterday, I had to update to 4.4.3 then 4.4.4, was expecting 5 straight after. Seems odd as my previous N5 for the update on release day. I've gotta spend an hour or so getting all my launcher and widgets back but I wanted 5 first. Going back to 4.4 makes you realise how good 5 is

I just remember waiting for an update last year and I happened to do a factory restore and when it booted up first time it was prompting me to update.
