only just seen this. not sure bud, quite a few though. its a tough one!

how much is a new one from cpl ?

i bumped into the guy a year ago who used to own it and he said it was exedy stage 1 i think

got any pics of the track wheels on ?

I payed £290.00 from Cpl in January for a new one, can be welded

Speak to Steve at Grinspeed his guy is excelent at doing them but it is a common

fault as it is to heavy without a support to carry the weight

This is the mark 2 version with rose joints and adjuster in the centre

You can get the braces from the maker of them 2 types

fixed bracket or rose jointed with adjustment

The car went to grinspeed about 2 weeks ago to have the following done.

New jrsc manifold ( sprayed wrinkle black to match the rest,)cheers for that Bren.and new gasket.
Cpl support bracket,
Clutch checked and adjusted,
Iacv removed and cleaned,
New buddy club rsd coilovers,
New track rod ends,
Check and adjust valve clearances,
Full geo set up.
A big thanks to Stevie and lee who were fantastic and really took care of the car.

No more high tickover and lumpy idle and the car just pulls so fast now literally just flying through the gears, as it was obviously down on power before due to the cracked mani.

I thought the car handled great before but Stevie said the geo was quite a bit out so worked his magic and wow the car feels even more planted and just changes direction like a fly.

There was a lot of play in the front coilovers so after a lot of thought I decided on fitting new ones all round as buddy club don't do rebuild kits and they don't sell individual struts so you have to order them from japan 3 month wait.im waiting to find out if one of stevies contacts can get them rebuilt so they may be for sale soon.

Since have the car back I've been giving it a thorough clean and have test fitted the bonnet and advans,here's some pics;

Glad to hear the cars running well again ! Just been to Stevie's this morning and he was telling me about the dampers ! How annoying are rsd's I would of went for something else bud instead of handing over more money to SPD !

Hopefully yours will be ok,but it's not the end of the world if it goes.i would still like an under support bracket though.

Cheers mate I'm glad it's back to its full potential, yeah I was thinking about other coilovers but I think performance wise for the money they are the best without stepping up to big money ohlins nitrons etc, just a shame service is pants! Plus the fact I'm a 300 mile round trip from grinspeed and wanted it all sorting.
How you getting on with yours, they like the juice when you get busy with the throttle ay.

I know what you mean with the coilovers ! Anymore problems out of mine and am going to bite the bullet and step up ! Yes they certainly like to drink the go go juice when your on the happy pedal ;-)
Am enjoying mine at the moment just ordered some new road tyres, getting Stevie to do the timing chain when I get back off my hols then am going to charge cool it ! Then the spending must stop as it's getting out of hand ;-)

I'll will speak to the guy this weekend and then pass his phone number to you

He still some times comes on the forum

The Cpl brace is only a neck brace and does not carry the weight of the charger

these support the charger underneath

this was the the first fixed type

Yeah that's the Carlos one isn't it? I tried contacting him but got no reply.I know the cpl one doesn't support the weight but it does stop the pressure of the snout end being pulled down by the belt,it's better than nothing and was a I could get hold of at the time but if you can get me one that would be great.but I think the rose jointed one is best to counteract any movement.
