Yea it's cost a fair bit! Although over saved a lot by doing all the work myself (except the k100)
I've probably just tipped over £2k. Majority of the engine modifications I sourced second hand through here. The suspension I bought new.

Not much of an update. Took a fancy picture out in the sticks. Uneven surface ruined the arch gap on the front wheel

Picked up a cheap rear lower tie bar. Clearly doesn't do anything other than booty bling

Changed my suspension geo slightly. Running 0mm toe on the back (before it was 1mm toe in) to liven up the rear a little. Checked all the rest was all in spec and had a good back lane blast.
Looking for track days. Ideally in May. Just need to upgrade my brakes as I cooked them this weekend

Brakes upgraded. Went for DS2500 pads and RPB discs up front and Padgid discs and pads on the back. Followed by a brake fluid service using dot 4+
Pedal feel was instantly better. Haven't had a real chance to bed in and abuse but they're already performing better.
Also painted the front calipers because race car :D
Looking to book Brands Hatch on the 13th May.
Few pictures!

Went to Snetterton on Thursday 15th May. Open pit lane and it was a blinding hot day. Perfect conditions! Just a little hot and sweaty inside the cabin.
Had an instructor for 20 mins. He was really impressed with the car and couldn't believe it was just on normal Bridgestone re050a tyres.
Brakes managed well. Did give them some serious abuse. Possibly the odd 1 or 2 stress fracture but they're very small and hardly noticeable. Oh and cheap caliper paint doesn't hold up very well. After the first session the paint was already bubbling off!
Checked the oil twice, hadn't moved all day. Checked tyres pressures a few times and that was it. Faultless!
Became friends with a man who owned an ariel atom. Wow what a machine! After lunch he came for a ride in my car and again he was impressed with it's capabilities. Then we went in the atom and that thing was quick!
Gave some faster cars a good run for their money. Although being faster than an M5 and a Lotus Elise shows how much it's about driver than machine.
I'll get some more pics up as they're on my laptop.ImageImageImage

Do you have any more plans for it?
Well there wasn't much I wanted to do. Although after going on the track I wouldn't mind making it more for track than for road and buy an old banger for daily.
Want to lower it a little more and maybe add some preload to the coil springs. Get some modified tie rod arms to run more front camber. It'll soon need a clutch so possibly stick in a diff and a shorter final drive.
I think I'll leave the engine for now. I done about 150 miles of track driving revving it right on it's redline most of the time and it never missed a beat. Plus it kept up with some bigger powered cars so I don't think it needs much more poke.... For now!

what dampening settings did you run with on track ?
Suspension was sweet. But I want to run more negative camber. I've just managed to make -1.5 but I'd like -2. Just need some shorter arms.
From soft I ran 20 clicks on the front and 25 clicks on the rear. Probably could of gone stiffer.

Update!
Got modified arms and shortened them so I'm able to run more camber on the front. Running -2.0 camber on the front. Potential to go more but with it being a daily, it's twitchy enough already.

Changed my pads from DS2500 to Carbotech XP8. Measured what was left of the DS2500 and I'd worn 60% of the pad after 1 track day at Snetterton and around 1,000 miles. I'm hoping the Carbotech's last longer and perform better. Although it's just started raining I struggled to bed them in yet.

Going Donington Park Monday. So a quick once over, reset the geometry, brake fluid service. Ran over a large object in the road few weeks back and it done this to my b pipe

Not that fussed but it's annoying.

Never mind. Got this to look forward to!Image

After Donington Park on the 30th of June. Rear brake pads were completely shot. Sounded like a London bus on the drive home.
The Carbotech front pads were fantastic. Highly recommend if you're a serious track day driver. Only downside is they squeal at low speeds. Although after a hammering around the track they're not so loud anymore.
Picked up some EBC yellow stuff for the rear. Get trade discount at Euro Car Parts so they were cheap enough.
I think I got my money's worth

Lewis. wrote:Where did you buy the discs mate and how are they after the track day?
Discs are RPB from Tegiwa. They've held up ok to two track days so far. Some heat fractures but nothing serious. I'd imagine after another 1-2 track days they'd be shot.

I though i recognised that atom plate, this guy allowed Bridge to gantry take his car round the nurburgring, seems like a pretty decent guy to allow someone to go thrash his car [smilie=karls_thumb.gif]

That would of been the previous owner. Said it was owned by someone to do with autocar magazine I think. The guy I met had just bought it and it was his first track day in it.
