I saw rumours of the N6 being the last, I think Evostance posted the links
They kept all of the patents from Motorola Mobility so they don't need to have a device manger on the books. They could still use a model similar to Apple and get a production company to build all of the devices. I don't think you need a brand to do that and to be fair, the way it's worked with Nexus so far has been good imo.

Don't think there is a Nexus 6 planned anyway mate.

This Android Silver seems to be their new platform of choice, and I'm still super confused as to why they offloaded Motorola if they're intent on cracking the mobile device market.

Possibly realised there's no Google-sized money in manufacturing & selling devices. They held on to a lot of IP/patent type stuff before selling to Lenovo too ...

Used the M 8, S5 and Z2 today was all set for ordering the S5 based on what I had read but ended up coming back and ordering the Z2 should be dispatched within the week EE said

Charging flap on the S5 just wont close properly any more(only had it 2 weeks). Seems a half arsed method of making it marginally water "resistant" to tick a marketing box.

Three sending me a new phone, think I will get a wireless charging case or remove the flap totally.

New snapshot is out for Cyanogen. About time too, because the latest nightlies were terrible!

In any case, how do I go about upgrading? Is it fine to go from nightly > snapshot? What steps should I take as a precaution?

If you're going from beta to release, I'd always do a full data wipe if the system partition

Strange, I could have sworn I once did a full wipe and yet certain things remained untouched. My whatsapp photos, for example. And downloaded ringtones from Zedge.

I don't think a full wipe gets rid of the sdcard partition which is where that info would be stored. Don't quote me 100% on that though as it's been a while since I've used custom roms.

Stock android and Xposed is the best imo

That could be the reason. In any case I'll do a backup anyway, can't hurt. Plus a full reinstall is nice to have now and then.

Phones been off charge just over 10 hours, not used it much just some whatsapp and odd bit of FB and mess with some different themes but battery is on 96% blows the previous phones I've had out of the water.

Class 10 reputable make and you wouldn't go wrong recording video at 1080p which is the most taxing on memory.
Classes work on write speeds. So the higher the better
