and there's me thinking the Ep3 is pricey at £290 a year to insure, not far what you were paying a month.

Scooby looks a good choice by comparison, but good to have ticked the Evo box. i fancy a scooby next as not ticked the 4wd rally rep off the list yet.

thanks bud, wow which i had the price a year! yeah glad to have owned a evo & was fun while it lasted! the only downgrade i would do was scooby so i just thought see how much it is to insure & was shocked at the difference!! never using adrian flux again they wanted £2900 for the scooby

fek me,,.,, I need to get a better job - no way I could afford these running costs with insurance prices up at that level (nor would I want to), pay the mortgage, bills, put food on the table for the family and give them some form of existence

You assume he has all the same payments and commitments you do.



Looking good Kieran, shocking the difference in insurance but at least you get the 4WD and boost fun in some shape

Nope. Fuel wise though, can't see a difference especially when at 400.

Lovely cars, I bought one from here a few years ago!

Mine was a stock hawk STi without the PPP package, felt slightly laggy local driving but a lot of fun once giving it a little stick. The diff control is a nice feature.

dont mod the engine in this at all without a forged rebuild as the 2.5 is very well known for being very week and letting go even at very low mileage.thats why i went for the last blobeyes with the factory forged bottom end.

+1. Or it will basically blow up. Much preferred the evo but needs are a must. Sideways step rather than a down grade imo

True but when he's saving £600 a month extra he has much more £££ for the petrol that he had for the Evo

They either went or they lasted. Mine was on 90k and fit driven well.
I've seen the engines let go at all random miles but generally, the ones that are/were going blow up, have done by now.

The hatchback after this was even worse but I think the engine failure on the hawk is exaggerated.

Well I have had some bad luck, bought the car... 20miles later the car breaks down with the temperature gauge on full hot. Mechanic comes out to look at it & the hewd gasket has blown & has been for a few weeks, so the lad has had me over, phoned him & told him my legal rights etc & the car is been recovered back to him & getting my money transferred back in to my account! So pee'd off that my evo has now gone & I'm back to looking for another car don't know what to get now as I'm put off of subaru!

At first he was saying I'm willing to pay half towards it fixing but I told him no it's coming back to his place Monday & I want my money back so he has agreed to it, only had the car less than a hour & did 20miles

That was lucky, if he was trying to flip you he wouldn't take it back. Can you recall funds like that in a certain time period without his say so?

Yeah I am in my rights & told him that & that if he doesn't give me it back I will get a letter off of my solicitor & take him to court as it can't be classed as sold as seen, my mate is a solicitor & told me he hasn't a elf to stand on

Sounds like he has been pretty good about it. Could have been a right knob if he wanted.

I know sold as seen doesn't exist anymore, but I thought you needed proof that it was deliberately misold or you were decieved

Because it happened same day in less than 20mile & texts telling him he can't say no, he offered to pay for it fixing but I'd rather not have it as I don't want any come back on it with more bad luck, I'm gutted as the car was perfect for me but told him the problem, he agreed to give me my money back so once I receive it I shall be searching for another car

Seriously bad luck dude but better to have that happen when it did rather than 1 week after buying it.
