Just like it lol easier to recognise it in a car park or something

Going down to Area on this friday mate and will see how it goes [smilie=karls_thumb.gif]

I went to Roddison motorsport near meadowhall last well, Paul the owner there races in the MX5 seriers and won it last year, apparently he is the 'Mr Alignment' in mx5 forums and had done a few clios as well, but he never touched civics before but he said he will be able to it (i showed him where the camber adjusters were) but he is only available after x'mas. So I will just travel to stoke this friday

it's a shame really cause I want to try someone local he seemed to be decent enough but just too busy, maybe when it need adjusting I'll try him

Near Meadowhall? where abouts?... If you know what you want, surely it can't be too hard to do. Did he mention a price?

He is in Shepcote Lane near a NHS centre, you can't missed it if you driving pass it it has massive Roddision motorsport banner haha

Yeah, I mean if I have the print out for the frist FRSU I done and If I'm happy with, whenever it need re-doing I can just bring it to somewhere good locally instead of traveling again. He is just busy now otherwise I'd let him do it.

He didn't mention a price, he said it would be at least a 2 hours job (as I dont have camber adjustable top mounts, if I have it'd be quicker)...but from what I read from mx5 forums he charged about £60 for mx5's, maybe a bit more for EP3's...not too sure really, I can't imagine it being a lot more. He seemed decent enough, lots of MX5 race cars parked outside too

But for the first time round I thought I will travel to somewhere that know exactly what they're doing to begin with

jl_ep3 wrote:I'll wait untill yours is done and if it crabs round corners, I'll take it somewhere else...

I'll give him a shout in the new year, i'll be needing camber arms first

Yeah  I'll post it up here when it's done, but not sure will it be working on your car cause you got coilovers on, should be able to run a more agreesive setting than mine

I mean if you take it to anywhere that know what they're doing in terms of geo set up they'll give you good advice, most of these FRSU are more or less the same thing I guess.

 When i first fitted the MeisterR's I tried them on full negative camber, it looked like it had -5 degrees.... went up and down the road and it didn't feel safe..

Not sure about a more 'agressive' setup, a recon -1.5 camber on the front will be optimum.... I don't like paying for tyres..

-5  a bit excessive that

yeah -1.5 is what i have in mind but will see what the boys in Area say on friday

is the ep3 purely your weekend toy? still have the golf for your daily?

More of a summer car than a weekend car.. With the money I'm saving in fuel, insurance, I'm spending on the civic :santa:

FRSU was done today at Brosport/ Area motorsport

Went for front -1.5 degree camber 0.5mm toe out & rear -1.0 degree camber 0.5mm toe in which Dave recommended for 'fast road' use

Dave was very willing to explain every single question I asked and was very nice, I felt very welcome to be there :bigthumb:

Car has 7mm toe out at the front left before it was set up no wonder it handles quite strange

Anyway the car now feels nicer to drive has more 'feel' to it, more pointy, sharper, holds into a corner longer before you feel the need of slowing down and you need to really push it to get understeer, but I only had it done for a day so will need more testing to try it out
