Hmmm might skip past that then

Im a bit confused, are you telling me it uses the Headunits amps usually? The reviews i have seen suggest that the Parrot bypasses your car hifi therefore when you use the additional audio inputs built into it you will be using the parrot amps?

From what i have read it looks like dash parts are about £200, stereo is likely to cost me £200-300 (dont need navigation, would just use google nav) and then any cradles and stuff so that i dont lose functionality of the steering wheel controls is about £50. Fitting on top of that, about £200?
If those estimates are correct im probably looking at £700-800 total?

The dealer would need to be a proper c**t to even suggest that. They might accuse you of damaging wiring in the door but that would be an easy fix and unlikely to cause failure of a part.
There is always an element of risk when altering the car. You buy your parts and make your choice [smilie=karls_thumb.gif] All parts installed by your dealer will come with a 12 month warranty.
Like i said, just trying tio figure out where the line is.
Starting to feel like its probably better discussing this in a dedicated ICE thread but many thanks for all the advice
