i'm sure i've got it too - although it's not squeaky it's more creaky

you can temporarily fix it by pushing the parts of the dash you suspect of involvement - this is only good for between 2 - 4 seconds (summertime test only)

i'm not sure if it's the housing to the air con fans, the fairly flat bit on top in the middle of the console or the cowling behind and enshrouding the dials

anyway, it's annoying


more than that, i've also got something that sounds a bit like a buzz from the door speaker on the passenger side, but once i took everything out of the passenger door pocket it stopped, any ideas?

Sorry to bring this old thread back but was the squeaky dash problem something lots of people have had? I picked up an 09 CTR GT a couple of weeks ago, when I took it for a test drive it started squeaking, usually when turning right. The dealer was going to look at it but when they took it out with the engineer it didn't make the noise.

Went out for a drive on Friday and it started again, I managed to figure out that if I put my finger on the top left corner of the purspex covering the rev counter it stops - so it must be rubbing somewhere. I've booked it in at the dealer to look at, which they've said they need to take the dash out to sort it. Has anyone else had this?

squeaks and rattles are doing my head in at the minute, find myself turning the radio off on my half hour trip home from work hunting rattles and pressing in trim :bad-words:
