Back's totally buggered at the moment but got bored sitting about and thought some fresh air would be good. Took it nice and easy and replaced the fuel rail, fitted the fuel reg and removed the air assist valve.

AAV removed/blanked...(3/8 NPT bung fitted where the valve was).

(Couldn't find any suitable Jubilee clips, all too big or too small so used a pair of these instead...)

Tomorrow, weather and back dependant... , i'll drain and remove the fuel tank for fitting the return line, fit the new pump and get the gauge cables through the bulkhead with the sandwich plate / sensors hooked up!

Cheers bud, they were fitted before the base map on the EMS 2 was done so just had them out today for fitting the rail. Sure they should be set at 410cc and not 440cc? Reminds me, i'll need to pull them out tomorrow and check the seals against the old ones to make sure they're big enough for a good seal.

Put a t-peice in the hose plug the end were it would normally come out with your finger suck through the teed in pipe then let go?
Or use a vacuum bleeder....

Easiest way i've removed petrol was disconnect the fuel line at the engine end, put it in petrol can and turn the engine over. Does flatten the battery quite quick but we got about 2.5 cans worth out in 5/10 mins.

Found a suitable pump in the garage so emptying the tank will happen tomorrow, if there's any suitable hose!

To be honest i spent most of the day faffing about and drinking coffee as i just couldn't be arsed!

Did manage to get the fuel pump sorted out however and it's now ready to go back in. Fairly straight forward job and didn't take too long. Had some pic's from CPL to keep me right though! Everything from their fuel kit i've fitted so far has been excellent both in terms of quality and fitment.

Pump/housing being modded....

Only thing left to do is plumb the return line onto the tank making sure the line's secure then slot in the pressure gauge once a couple of fittings arrive.

Oh, and the most important job of the day..( )......got new posts from Skunk2 for the rocker cover washers to replace the one i snapped so thats now looking a bit better!
