No real updates. Waiting for a few parts to arrive which is delaying me.

I wasnt happy with the finish on the wheels so I took the to be blasted & then powdercoated gloss black. I pick them up saturday hopefully.

Dont have much time to work on the car this weekend so it looks like it will be another week or 2 before its done.

How do u find the meisters james?? I fancied them but been put off by the stories of them effecting lsd's so not sure, its looking mega anyway mate

Hi there mate. I have had 101 other things to do and the car has been bottom of the list.

Hopefully I will have some time this weekend to get the thing back on the road!

As for the MeisterR's, I havent fitted them yet but I was worried about the problem regarding the LSD (as I plan to fit one in the future)

The problem with them was the straight steering arm design. After a chat with Jerrick@MeisterR I ordered myself 2 of the new curved style. Along with 2 x 8kg/mm front springs to replace the 10kg ones I have fitted now.

Hopefully this will resolve the LSD issue!

I also picked myself up a Toda Dolphin Tip catback exhaust & a 4-2-1 decat manifold

Looking good James, shame you haven't got the Meisters on yet I was going to ask your opinion as I've just ordered some today :p

Didn't area Motorsport and miester figure out that the only problem they had with straight steering arms was on the dc5? They confirmed in another thread that the ep3 that had the same trouble was put down to a tracking problem apparently

Engine Bay is coming along now.

IACV was giving me a bit of gyp but after a good clean I think I have resolved it (fingers crossed)




Got a nice long weekend ahead of me to fit this pile of goodness



Oh and I have this to fit next weekend. I need to pull a dent from the B pipe and get a new flexi welded in the 4-2-1 for peace of mind..

Some nice parts there to be fitted to your SS. It will handle really well and go alot better once those parts are installed. Have you Kpro or K100

Managed to get it all fitted Sunday.

Ride is perfectly acceptable, really happy with the meister R's.
The car feels really tight now.

It despirately needs an alignment though!

I am going to go for:

2.0deg camber front
5deg castor (bushes)
0 toe

1.5deg camber rear
0 toe

The car wont do many miles so tyre wear doesnt bother me too much.

No I havent got a Kpro/K100 (Yet)

I dont know if I should get an LSD first.. decisions.

Just fitted my Tegiwa short shifter & torque damper.

Im am so impressed with the short shifter, totally transforms the feel of the car

Torque damper is spot on to, everything thing feels nice and tight.

All the mods I am doing are all working together and the car feels like much more of a package now I am very happy.

I can only imagine what it will be like after its FRSU tomorrow

Yeah I have noticed an improvement, especially when booting it in the lower gears.. the cabin vibration wont be to everyones taste though. Doesnt bother me really.

Had a full alignment yesterday & wow! The car is so chuckable now & seems to just grip.
I havent by any means explored its limits yet but I am very happy!

I went for:

-1.8 deg front
0 toe
3 deg castor

-1.5 deg rear
0 toe

Just need to get some new tyres for the Enkei's and the handling will be done.

Had a new flexi welded in as the original was knackered.

Lovely build mate very similar to mine but I'm using white enkies all chassis mods are near on identical!
Need some of them coilovers though build quality looks 10x better!
How does it run with manifold and no mapping?

Yeah my enkies just need some tyres & then they will be fitted. Should hopefully finish it off nicely.

The coilovers are brilliant really firm but not crashy atall.

The car feels and pulls strong all the way to the limiter with the manifold, I will be getting it on a RR soon to get the air/fuel ratios checked as its not uncommon for them to run lean.

Then again though people run decats with no mapping for years without a problem.

Rather be safe than sorry though.

Mine are sitting in the garden with new 235/45s on which I can't even use!
