I beat you too it.

I have the straight steering arm, which will hopefully reduce bumpsteer when its lowered.

The DC5 Meister's come with 10kg/mm spring rates front & rear to eliminate oversteer, whereas the EP3 has 8kg/mm front & 10kg/mm rear as the civic tends to understeer.

I have been in contact with Meister & they assure me I wont have a problem with the slightly harder front spring rate from the DC5.
They can supply me with the 8kg springs if I really want them for £30 each.

I think I will stick with the 10kg and see how it goes, besides £60 isnt going to break the bank if I really dont like it.

Just need to hunt down some DC5 trackrod ends now.. Shame I have just bought some brand new EP3 ones!

I managed to pick up the wheels from an evo forum & I got the coilovers as a second chance offer on ebay as he was messed about by the winning bidders.

you probably won't find it 'bad' or anything else with 10kg front and back, after all you're installing coilovers and it's going be HARD haha, as for road use I don't think the difference is noticeable, besides, running harder spring rate is no bad thing...if you like a bit of bumpiness

like you said, if you don't like, £60 is decent enough for a 'fix'.

I have a set of TRD shocks and springs on my corolla, they are solid as fuuuuuuk but i do like them as i like a bit of bumpiness when i drive

put the ep3's track rod end for sale and cover your lost, should be fine

I used to view MLR everyday before but then I thought I'm not going/ can't afford an EVO so I stopped lol....ace you managed to find goodies there [smilie=karls_thumb.gif]

i thought i was watching that coilover on ebay as well   just forgot to bid/ no intention to bid ...

more to come james, chassis works only just begin

I'm trying to get in touch with funky power were I bought them off to see if they can do me a refund or something, doubt is get anything off them though :( the car is still ok to drive, I'm just not going chance flooring it for now, camber on the rear is pretty excessive at the moment (3.5) so tyres are wearing a lot on the insides. Stevie at grinspeed is going sort me some DME ones and redo my geometry

Bout 1 1/2 yrs so doubt they'd give me any kind of refund but still they should last a lot longer than that! I heard they had problems with the earlier design on their camber arms but thought it had been sorted

It was actually JDMRegiment I bought them from.

I have sent them an email. I will see what they come back with.

They may have amended the design in the last year or so.. who knows.

Thanks for the heads up though mate, atleast they are still in the box at the moment so I have the best chance of getting an exchange/refund.

Also recieved thermal inlet & throttle body gaskets today as well as the correct BC roll centre adjusters ready to be pressed in tomorrow along with the superpro castor bushes.

im also taking the inlet to be shot blast tomorrow.. Im thinking it needs a billet fuel rail to finish off the bay.

Thoughts on colour? anodized red to match the Red MeisterR topmounts..

Very happy with how its coming along though :)

Yeah I'm chuffed with the results.

Pinched the mothers car  , I get the train to work so I dont really need the car.

Didnt have a very productive weekend, managed to get a few bits done though.

Fitted the Buddyclub Roll centre adjusters & Superpro castor bushes.. which turned out to be a complete PITA

Also ordered a JDM rear arb today.. im sure it will be fine, I just couldnt justify the extra cost of the progress one..

Hopefully she will be back on the road the in the next 2 weeks. I have to somehow find the time to completely build up an engine I am selling too.

Looks awesome mate [smilie=karls_thumb.gif]

When you painted the rocker cover is it a hard job? Just unbolt, prep and spray paint + lacquer?

Never done my own before but wouldn't mind giving it a go [smilie=karls_thumb.gif]

Cheers

I can't wait to get an EP3. Loved the project I had with the EK4 cos I made it unique. Had people slag off the colour of the engine bay but think secretly they were jealous lol
