Scotty - :-D I told you i would have that lip some day. :D It's only take 2 years!!
Haha.....Well you got it for half the price of what Scotti would of sold you it for so thats not a bad saving for waiting that extra two years   (kidding Mr F)

However the lip does look amazing and I see your copying my (Mugen Grill flew off) theme on the front end there?
Looks mean....(a bit like a DC5 is what you told Bailey - load of pisssssh)

Glad to see it all back together dude, look forward to a catch up soon :-D

Man, i'm really bad at keeping this up to date. The Civic's been tucked up in the garage for a month now, and i've not touched it yet. I never even finished updating the rebuild. So......

Finally built back up and running....

Painting the bumper was a DIY rattle can job. Looks not too bad............... From a distance.

I strung it up with some string and hooks made from coat hangers.

Wha-la!!

When the b-pipe got hot it expanded a good 2 inches and pushed the J's back box off the hangers and onto the ARB, so i took it off and drilled 2 holes in the hooks and fitted R-clips and washers. A good idea i thought....... Until i went out a drive and the washers rattled and buzzed till i couldn't take it any more!! So there i was underneath the car in a lay-by taking them off and just fitting the R-clips. It work's a treat now.

Kris - Hi mate, long time no see. Will need to get your number again, forgot to save it at JAE. Welcome to CTRO aswell!! I see that's your first post. :bigthumb: I've moved on to Tennants now, my can must have been hiding out of shot. :roflmao:

Julian - Thanks mate. :bigthumb: It's been together since the start of November, i've just taken ages to update this.

Stevo - Cheers. :-D

I'm so happy with how it's turned out again. I honestly thought it was game over when i hit the banking, but thanks to a few good mates it's been saved. :-D Just need tidied up and a few bits repaired over the winter.

Thanks Rob. :salut: I could be very tempted depending on how busy i am at work and if the car is ready. Winter's a busy time for us plumbers. :-D I also need to sit my trailer test as i don't think the Civic will pass its MOT again. New law's in Scotland have f*cked it for us. :bad-words:

I thought I saw it when I was at Knockhill for the BTCC last year!

I'm not 100% sure on all of them, but there's loads, the main one's are about suspension and exhausts. The tyre's not allowed to be within 1 inch of bodywork or rub on full lock, and there MUST be a CAT and the car MUST NOT be louder than a standard car. Other wee things like HID's must have washers and align properly with correct beam pattern, must have seat belts, all factory splash guards must be fitted, etc etc. Basicly, it must be a standard car or its a fail. :bad-words: Oh, and the ECU must be standard with standard performance in the car.

A wee bit about it: http://www.the-ace.org.uk/stricter-mot- ... -2012.html

Vice versa mate, i'd love to see the Blue beastie in person.

Na, wouldn't be mine. I was there, just in the Mrs Corsa 'cos i was having a few pints. It might have been ChalmCTR's if it was NHB with orange wheels. :salut:

I'm sure you could still get one ;)

Whoever thought up those rules needs their head checking.

It may well of been Chalm's car then it was definitely black with coloured wheels!

If i'd known you were going you could of popped over!

gus-ep3 wrote:In all honesty, i'll be surprised if i don't get it passed.  It might take a bit of help though....

Yea, that's the new Scottish parliament for you..... Sorting out the important issue's with Scotland first.

Where you working at the Touring cars?
Seems they we're trying really hard to ruin things for enthusiasts,

I was back and forth between Rob Austin racing and 888 racing all weekend mate :bigthumb:

Gus, those new EU laws have been getting spoken about and banded around for ages. It's EU wide, not just Scotland. I wouldn't worry about it man, you'll defnitely still get an MOT

Although those proposed laws are f*cking ridiculous anyway. Some slimey cunt in a suit from Belgium sat in an office full of w@ankers and decided these new "rules" would be for the better of us all..... Naw!
#3189985
Rob - Seems like they're trying to, and succeeding. :bad-words: Ah, i never knew you were involved with the Touring cars. What do you do? Geo set ups?

Dean - Apparently its going ahead in Scotland now dude. :salut: I wonder if i got the car MOT'd in Englandshire and brought it back up, would that count as a valid MOT?
Good rant!! Get it out the system. :roflmao:

This year at knockhill you'll have to pop over mate :)

Data logging and analysis, basically check the car's over on the data, sit down with the driver and go through how the car felt, then suggest any changes to team principal in terms of geometry, pressures etc.

Then i'll go through the data with the driver from the test/qualy session to gauge where time is lost and can be found by overlaying two or three laps.

Can be a little surreal at times
