heres a quick Video not very good though as its on an Iphone the loud tinny weird sound is the scooby in front with a straight though race tube exhaust it doesnt even sound like a scooby any more

not many of them left now we did a car check thing and only like 250 on the road so you would think my mate would look after his --- he doesnt haha, bumper is melted where the racetube touches it paint is ruined and hardly looked after wheels kerbed then he rattle canned them him self so runs everywhere, not good lol


the tube is loud but i prefer the scooby sound. he has an afterburner back box he uses some times i think it sounds much better

Yeah they are rare now and starting to go up in value, shame it's getting ruined. There's a mint one by me and another over my mates in sutton.

really sluggish for some reason recently before boost it as boost lagg haha put foot down it does nothing then pulls then you hit boost and it pulls like it should but doesnt boost as high as used to, really strange

we serviced it checked everything,changed plugs and leads etc still the same

got coilpack on way so going see if that helps

That might help, but the thing with scooby's (classics) when you mod them after the factory mods they need mapping or it'll wear on the engine, fuel mixture can mess up the engine and boost aswell. Tell him to Get it mapped it'll boost earlier and smoother. I had no lag atall after a run at scoobyclinic, went in like a little scared rabit, came out an animal.

haha yeah i know what you mean, he went scoobyclinic to have it checked and rolling roaded.

he hasnt done any engine mods really. decat and straight thru pipe ( or afterburner exhaust depending how he feels) and some shiney intake pipe style thing for the standard air box

not even got a boost controller for a tiny tweak

its always been running fine till he put the racetube on, but we have changed that multiple times since hes got three exhausts haha used them all and no differnce, reset ECU after each change aswell

he carrys them all with him and his ramps incase he needs to change it, one is quiet one has flamer kit other is the tube haha

Got my mate out the other day with a decibel meter

Didn't manage to get a drive by but did a few stood still runs

At 3.5k 103.2 db
At 4k 112.3 db ( on launch control/limiter)

I brought one today and did same tests and got

3.5k 103.5db
4k 11.7db ( launch control/limiter)


All tests a meter away 45' angle to the side and 45' angle upwards of the tip,

Really wanna see what it is at 9k it's so much louder when under load at 4 than It is stood still, so maybe 120 ish

well after being at JAE looking at the stalls i eneded up buying my self a tegiwa ETD, was hoping to fit it on sunday for the trip home but with out having an allen key that fits i couldnt, so when i got home i spent all off 7 mins fitting it, alot of people do or dont like these but i only brought it becasue they look cool, gains or no gains






and even though its pretty much the opposite colour to my colour scheme i dont think it looks to daft,

it might just be me but i think your ETD is the wrong way round

i wasnt sure which way tbh and looked on pictures on google and seen them both ways round. but the other way round i cant get spanners in to adjust it

try attaching the ETD to the suspension mount bracket before you bolt the bracket down.

hmm ill spin it round, had it the other way at first but couldnt adjust it easily so assumed it was this way cheers bud

went to south mimms at the weekend had a great day! on the way back down the A1 we happened to cross a little tunnel remembered to video it this time last mimms i forgot haha, on an iphone 3 and with a female holding it so not the best haha :shouldbeinteresting:

Small update

Recently went up to Area Motorsport to have camber arms and bolts fitted and a Fast road geometry set up done,
the guys there did a great job and the car feels alot more planted around corners and the turn in is so much better, really makes a differance! could tell on the first round about i found haha!


The set up they use is really good and very accurate taking into account everything!, took them a while to do it as just near the end the pc decided to turn its self off haha, and had to start from the begining again and re do it all!





also had a productive weekend!

changed my oil filter/oil and spark plugs! about time iv not done it in a while haha.

and decided while i had the car on the ramps etc id take the front end of and paint my grill black, looking at it in the pic below where id masked it all off, im tempted with a debadged grill now haha

the front bumper was a right pain to get of. the little clips under near just decided to destroy them selfs :bad-words: and i didnt wanna pull it to hard when they were all off haha. but now i know to just pull like a mad man and it comes off!
