Surely 197 would be at the wheels? Having this at the fly on a standard car would mean something went wrong at the factory

197 is what the engine is rated to produce, you always loose a certain percentage through the transmision :thumbup:

Could it be that he had say ~208bhp at flywheel then 198bhp at the wheels due to transmission losses etc? Just wondering...

No, you lose a lot more than that through transmision.

Work on losing around 25% through drive train between Fly Wheel & Wheels, for eg; 200 @ fly Wheel will be around 150 at the wheels;
