At standard mine made 199.3,199.7 & then 200.5 bhp so I'm happy saying that mine made the quoted figure & now its pushing 305bhp on eurospecs dyno with just charger, gruppe m & manifold...the chargers seem to squeeze more power on the FN2 than the JRSC do on the EP3.

My dealer said (whether true or not) was that when the EP3 was launched it was found by many owners who took their new cars straight to a rolling road, that it was only pushing out 160ish BHP. This was then sorted by Honda by fitting a new lighter fly wheel to get closer to it's advertised figure..

The FN2 is supposed to be 201BHP.........

Not a chance. You dealer knows nothing, sorry.

With regards to the FN2, its quoted as 198BHP or 201PS.

What engine is in the FN2 and how different/what makes it different from the F20 (if I recall correctly??) in the S2000? Just wondered why they couldn't give the heavy FN2 the 240PS from the S2?

(I find car dealers tend to know the least of all people, about the cars they sell!)

My car made 211 bhp at the flywheel completely stock on TDI Norths dyno. See dyno below of before and after with flashpro tune. The only real gains made are from the lower VTEC but after 5.5k rpm not much difference (you need to be a Civinfo member to see pdf). This was done as a baseline before the fitment of my supercharger which made 310 bhp. But since then I have had further mods that resulted in a further 25 whp on TDI Souths dyno.

FN2 is a K20Z4 engine. It wouldn't take an S2000 engine as the S2000 engine and gearbox are mounted in a different direction.

Remember that the weight difference is not that much in reality and on the road you cannot tell the difference.

also bear in mind the F20 is a fair older unit and not as "green" but neither is euro5 compliant.

Its also known the FN2 was a "stronger" engine out of the box readily beating the manufacturers outputs rather than the ep3 which was closer to the manufacturers quoted specs

just this morning i got my fn2 rolling roaded, 197.4bhp at the wheels. pretty much as it said in the book. apparantly it would have hit the magic 200bhp mark if i'd been using super unleaded.

as for the super unleaded thing, will it help that much, saying the fn2 is set up using 95 ron fuel?
