Downloaded the demo. Not liking so far. Massive maps, lots of running about doing nothing, seems to take almost a full clip to down an enemy and generally confused about the objective of the game. :scratch: Colour scheme also looks very blue/grey so finding hard to spot people sometimes. I should probably like this so will give it another try.

I'm still struggling with the objective, just head to the a or b on the map, i think you have to destroy them, not sure how though as haven't got that far.
i normally go to the side of the map and try to sneak up behind the enemy, i got on the roof of one building, 4 enemies on the roof sniping and hadn't seen me, stab stab stab stab :WOOT
If you are struggling with the size, try hitching a lift in a vehicle and get in the gunner seat that should secure you some points, if the vehicle is not being used get in i think its circle to enter, then triangle to change positions (driver, gunner etc,)
This game is really quite impressive when you get used to it. I think it will be immense when it does get released,

Can anyone tell me is this going to be just online or will there be a one player game to go with this? I like to get used to playing before I go online.

It'll have a single player campaign. The last one was genuinely hilarious with some fantastic dialogue from the famous/infamous Haggard...

Gave this a cheeky little play last night for the second time, actually did okay and came 3 on my team with points scored (2300ish) - got up to a 6 kill-streak, destroyed a few vehicles, defended my objectives. Pretty fun, keen to play the real thing now and see how good it can be.

Updated my drivers and seems a bit better, its still not exactly a smooth game, wish it had a better graphics engine.

Have you guys tried the apache out? That & dedicated servers are the only reasons I'm buying this game.

getting a little bored already, hope the full game is better i cant see why they cant make the targets/objectives random rather then the same buildings, people just sit in the same places

Hardcore mode means no mini-map in the corner of the screen, in normal mode when an enemy fired a shot they would show up on the mini-map, bullet damage has gone up so now it only takes one shot from a sniper rifle to kill, and some other stuff i cant remember.

I still haven't driven a tank thingy yet let alone the apache. Have you figured out how to equip the stuff you unlock? lol it took ages to figure it out.

I think the beta is great, the map Port valdez is very good, the only way to succeed is teamwork. if spent the best part of 2 days playing it and have enjoyed every game. There is still alot of code missing though but so far it looks like a contender to replace Mw2 imo. The beta takes ages to download btw.

The current map is actually a lot weaker than the original Beta's one, Arica Harbour. That was simply awesome, with each base being a very different proposition from the last.

I wouldn't say its great, has some potential, very reminiscent of the old black hawk down games.

They could do with tweaking....

Graphics and controls, need tightening imo not that slick yet.
Searching for servers is slow and dodgy, you get a list, then you have to filter, even then you try to join and most of the ones showing space are already full.
Let me use the escape key to go back in menus!
Quite long load times (but the games last a while, at least Rush does)

Dedicated servers is a bonus though. Would also be nice if the Beta had some other game modes although I do quite like "rush".

The beta took me 7 minutes to download. Glad I am not playing on a console, the controls are awful compared to keyboard/mouse.
