Another fun UAV trick. Once you get used to flying it, it's hilarious to fly in very low and buzz the enemy team. Or hover behind a camped enemy sniper and shoot him in the face when he turns round...

One hellfire launch later and I got 6 kills (2 in the tank, 4 behind) and 430 points

Beat that tonight. Used C4 on two tanks next to each other. By the time it'd finished throwing points at me, I got 720 from the one detonator

The game before I joined you Ali I managed my biggest points haul. Managed 7900 by the end of the game. Don't know what I was doing right but it was epic. Managed nearly 50 kills that match. God I love this game

no one told me the enemy don't actually need to capture the buildings they can simply flatten them with me and my squad camp-guarding it.

i need to get a mic so i can bollock my team mates into doing their jobs ! :bad-words:

The biggest point hauls come from destroying vehicles. It's worth committing suicide just to do it as you'll only be penalised 10 points while even a single occupant vehicle will net you 30 for damage, 100 for destroying it and 50 for the driver. If it's near an M-Com, you'll also get 100 for M-Com defence and possibly another 100 for avenger or saviour if it's just damaged or killed a team mate!

Was great fun last night. LIghting you up like a Christmas tree with tracer darts while you were on the UAV and then watching this bright red beacon trying to hide in the bushes and camp was hilarious BTW, when I ran up to you and used the defibrillator, did your screen do anything? I want to know if it causes damage as I quite fancy attacking people with it for a laugh

And go some epic sniper kills when we were defending the first base on the third match. They were all camping up on the usual rock and not paying attention to the fact that their mates were being shot all around them! Best defence sniper position is definitely in the trees behind the spawn. There's a small hillock just before you go out of area and a few trees to hide in so you're almost invisible.

i've had people attack me with the defibrillator, i dont think they do anything though.

The kill cam isn't looking down the gun as it is in COD MW2, its looking at them so it doesn't always help show were the enemy is.

its a shame you can't go prone on this, it would give you more of a chance hiding from snipers/tanks

Being able to go prone would make the snipers practically invincible though. It's why they took the ability out after BF2: Modern Combat. You're only hope to kill snipers on that was to run them over with a tank. Which was great fun....

Everyone saying sniping is brilliant, generally means its over powered? That video earlier in the thread seems a bit silly, aim at an ant 2 miles away, shoot, dead?

i think the power is good. Aimming is very easy due to static scope. Not like MW2 with breathing etc (which is better imo). Also the enemy cant really hide as you cant go prone so its easy to pop them no real skill in it just point and click. There is bullet drop though which is good.


if MW2 and BC2 had a baby then you would have an almost prefect army type fps

The thing with sniping is you're more likely to get a headshot because, when people are hiding, the bit of them they expose to take a shot is their head! There is reasonable leeway, but we're talking about proper sniper rifles here. Rifles that can blow large holes in people in real life, unlike their pea shooter MW2 equivalents which are so watered down and pathetic that they're a joke. And, although snipers are powerful, they don't contribute to the objective for attackers, and the maps are such that there are areas where snipers get no decent view. The trees on base 1 for instance. Though I had a great team last night in that area. Two of us as medics with LMGs, dropping health all the time while peppering the trees, and an assault class dropping ammo for us all the time.

I love this game. So far, the definitive game of this generation for me, and that's just a Beta and demo!

I haven't played so can't really comment but if you get hit by a bullet you're dead in real-life. Why not be the same in a game? Considering you can be in tanks etc surely the game must be quite balanced as a sniper round isn't going to get you in there, or not through skill anyway, more fluke?!

All true but its a game and not real life, if something is significantly easy then it needs to be tweaked else it prompts imbalance.

Still, becoming tempted by this game....
