rhonda, that's pretty impressive, though I've had battles
almost as good. 50 points after 50 points up to 5000+ just using the UAV. Best one yet was attacking the second base. They managed to steal a T90 and had it parked at the base with all their team using it as cover. One hellfire launch later and I got 6 kills (2 in the tank, 4 behind) and 430 points

We did pretty damned well in that last game on the Apache. You can definitely fly it better than I can.
Mark, I can't speak for everyone, but I'm still playing the first game even 2 years down the line. MW2 just doesn't have any modes that are remotely interesting now. There's just a lack of depth that means it's a very pretty Doom clone most of the time. Plus, the athleticism of the characters is still ridiculous, unless the US and Russians give their troops crack cocaine.
Not sure on controls. I'm sure one of them was very similar to CoD but I tend to use the BC1 layout for everything. Melee is actually rubbish and mainly designed to smash windows, doors and fences, not for combat.
As for gravity, there's nothing more satisfying than getting someone's head in the sniper sights, accounting a touch for gravity, letting fly and watching them drop with 30 extra points for a Marksman Headshot

My favourite new sport, even better than MW2 Stabby, Stabby, is shooting people off the quad bikes. This is even better if they have a passenger, whose facing the other way and doesn't realise they're doomed. And I'm very pleased that the mark above your head is now reserved only for when you're hit or shooting. It means you can hide, as a sniper, in the bushes on the roads with C4 and throw it at the sides of tanks as they pass by
