The largest Civic Type R club forum

[si]

For those interested, I have now opened up all the forum as a guest. This means you can view (but not post) every single post and thread other than those within the "For Sale", "Wanted", "Insurance" and "Group Buy" sections, without signing in.

If you're wondering why it's asking you to log in when you press the "New Topic" or "Post Reply" buttons, you now know why.

Cheers.

Sounds good Si

will it ask that every time we want to make a post though? or just the once ?

Once you've signed in it will act as normal.

Any reason why you've made it viewable to non Members?

[si]

Quite simply to bring in more visitors.

[Lucky7]

But I don't feel special anymore. Please revert back to previous scheme.

I feel a hint of sarcasm in your post.

[scruffy_]

So does that make more of the forum accessible to search engines for indexing posts?

[Cat]

Good idea.
I guess I'm right in thinking I can link people on another forum to a particular thread here for info, and they won't have to go through the registration process to view.

It also means any banned members won't need a secret alias account to view posts.

[Lucky7]

Open the rest up but General Chat should be members only.

Might be an idea to lock General Chat.
Potential members might take a look in there and never return!

General Chat is in the Lounge.

General Chat is in the Lounge.

Ermm, I know.

What I meant was not to lock down The Lounge just the General Chat section.

[si]

General Chat is now viewable by registered members only.

But I don't feel special anymore
