I've had the one you mention in the past and it seemed to be more prevelant after starting in cold weather. My current annoying rattle enanates from the lower dash panel to the right of the steering column.
.
I wonder if it is down to a complex piece of dash architecture comprising many panels which are flexing in different directions. I also wonder if the stiffness of the chassis is a contributory factor. I would be interested to know if the issue afflicts other models in the Civic range to the same extent.

babydave wrote:Mines developed a horrible creaky/clunk/click noise from just under the windscreen, only does it if one wheel hits a bump and not if both do (ie going over a full width speed bump). Is there much point taking it back to the dealer?? Any ideas? CheersWell noise travels, is it possible it could be one or both of your front springs? I had a terrible time with clunking springs in my old Integra Type-S. There was even a TSB in the end to remedy it!
