Well fitted mine at around 8pm tonight, took about half hour to fit as I didnt want to scratch anything under the bonnet and checked all connections twice, just back from good 100 mile run, seemed to take bout 10 miles or so to find itself/bed in but once it did you should have seen the smile on my face, just keeps pullin and pullin, then comes the shift and you get a nice kick in the back when pushin hard, nice and strong! Sounds the dogs aswell and im still runnin the pipercross, might take it off and see the difference though.

I then put the radio on and tried her whilst driving normally on my usual roads, again throughout the rev range she just pulls so much better and you would think you are one gear lower than you are with regards to torque available, defo worth it guys!, even the girlfriend asked me what i had done to it as she could notice the difference and thats saying something!!!!!!

well have to report back as i have now ran the Hondata ECU with/without the Pipercross induction kit and i can honestly say i feel the car runs smoother and slightly quicker with the PC fitted, the instructions that came with the ECU stated it could be run with exhaust/header or induction kit or any combination, as long as the induction kit uses same diameter of intake tubing around mass air flow sensor as you could have problems with running lean if it didnt, i gave the pipercross a measure and its as close as you could get as she uses the standard intake hose to the throttle body and almost the same around the mass air flow sensor, ill be keeping it on for now!

...fair enough, had my dyno'd with and without the PCross and it was losing me power

I asked this kind of question a little further up the thread, what kind of 0-60 0-100 etc kind of gains should you expect from this? As i said i know thats possibly a stupid question but it would give a good feel for what the mod will do in real performance terms.

Thanks in advance.

It's very difficult to quantify. On the EP3 simply having a raised rev limit to 8600 negates the need to change to third gear to hit 60mph (it ran to 58mph in second otherwise) so the loss of a gearchange is worth maybe 2 or 3 10th's of a second, depends how fast you can change gear?

So for 0-60 you should be looking at 6.2 or 6.3 ish, if you have other mods such as an LSD and manifold with decat this can come down to below 6 comfortably but again it depends how mechanically unsympathetic your driving is and the available traction.

I'm really tempted to get one of these but, I had a thought when I was driving home tonight.

The cam change is lowered to 3800rpm. I noticed on the motorway when cruising at 80ish, that the revs are above 3800rpm. Will it hurt the engine spending so much time on the high cams, or does it not change on part throttle?

From what I understand, it only comes in at 3800 when on full throttle. Correct me if I am wrong? Am also very tempted to get one of these.
