Given you're after 10 plate then what you pay in servicing will largely depend on where the one you get is in the cycle. Some specialist independents do very good prices on servicing. Lot less than main dealers.

I got my fn2 in 2011 and still have it. It's a great all rounder. I used mine on the motorway daily and got awesome mpg for a 2.0 NA engine.
Go for a GT model you get a few extras that are handy and make the car easier to live with. I've got HFT and Sat Nav which when updated is pretty useful.

Check the roof where the windscreen meets as they car rust there due to the seal being fitted incorrectly (solved on the later models)

3rd gear can be notchy on some(again solved on later models)

As far as running costs. Tax has increased on these. Think it's up at 270 now

I use to have 19' rage wheels (still do in the garage somewhere gathering dust) and tyres were near enough 200 a corner.

Went down to light weight 17's (better choice of tyres) and that cost pretty much halved.

Insurance is around 450 for me. But something to check before you buy.

Servicing I use to use a main dealer so minor and major services range from 175-375 ish
But using a specialist will be cheaper.

All in all they are good cars. But if you compare it to a Porsche Cayman S. Tyres tax and servicing (specialist) are pretty similar!
