sorry mate wasnt on about the sub needing power.

u connect off of the cables from the rear speakers (i assume as the rca) to amp (and yeh the amp does have cross over built in) so just got to connect the amp up properly (and to the battery) and connect the amp to the sub

like so ...

Right... Just got back from Audio specialist and purchased 2 new alpine speakers for the front plus astra plates. I will attempt to fit them myself this week aso will let you know how I get on. If I can't do it I am back there Fri 10am to have my road angel hard wired in (as honda couldn't do it)

I asked them about the backs and they said they have done 1 other type r plus numerous type s and 5 door civics. They said the rears are a pain in the arse and it took them 3 hours the first time they did it. They also broke the side pannel and had to replace it. Apparently you have to take the whole side pannel off which goes right back to the boot.

Oh dear! Got the door panel off but was concerned about the speaker wiring 4 cables going into the woofer and 2 into the tweeter. I have put it back together and will leave it for the experts as Im worried about bugger up the speakers for the Hands free kit.

Off to road radio 2moz.

The red panel in the back does come off a little bit im just not brave enough to force it anymore :?
So i think i will have to take my signal from the front spkr for the LOC to run my sub :?

isnt that guna be a lot of hassel though? or is there somewhere easy to hide the wiringing?

TYPERGT07 - does that guide not guide from civinfo not tell u which wires to use? they all said its pretty straight forward so i didnt think there would be problems like this.

iv just thought of another prob though - iv got for bass works in my car, so if i use my back speakers to run the LOC into the amp, is that not guna cause problems as theyre already amped up a bit?

It looks simple enough but I couldn't get the dorr panel back on and on checking today you can't open the door from the inside now. Doh!

I am having them fitted along with my road angel 2moz at 10am. Will post results 2moz.

if u are unable to open the door from inside check the black cable from the back of the handle. It won't be clipped in its holder. Very common problem when removing the door panel.
