3-5-2 could work but cant see Sven taking the gamble of 3 at the back

I think with carragher terry and ferinand we have a solid base for a 3 man back line... Thing is sven wouldnt do this, i think he's far too dependent on a back 4.

So the usual back 4

Hargreaves holding midfield
Lampard in middle gerrard at the point
Beckham (wish it was lennon) and cole on the wings

and rooney up front.

Could work if the midfield find some cohesion for once.

oops. i did mean 3-5-2. maybe he'll try it out now. Should drop becks and lamps frmo saturday's line up for lennon and crouch imho.

not bad, but i'm concerned about both terry and ferdinand. terry's made as many mistakes in the last 2 games as he has for the last two season, and whow ferdinand didn't get a card on saturday amazes me - there's been a couple of seriously rash challenges he's made....

Im finding it funny that people are now including Hargreves in there prefured starting line up . Before he made a starting apperance against Sweden he was being banished to the sin bin

I've always fought his corner (Click for evidence!)

He just needed the starting place.
I've also said before that Carragher Terry and Ferdinand are solid enough to hold the defense as a three with a holding player in front.

I just wish Sven wasn't so conservative all the time

I also think Lampard should be given one last chance to play to his potential. If he hasn't played well enough after 60 mins or so take him out for someone like lennon who makes a clear difference when he comes on and switch him with "undroppable" beckham so that he's on the wing.
