Living in Germany a lot I thought I'd start a thread for this because quite frankly I'm sick of watching CNN & BBC World.

This is a nice little link for watching your favourite channels whilst abroad.

WORLD TV CHANNELS.
http://wwitv.com/portal.htm

LIVE TV & SPORTS.
http://www.myp2p.eu/index.php?part=sports

Anymore. Just post and I'll add them to the list.

Don't know if this link has been put up

http://www.justin.tv/directory

Great for sport, All premier league/champions league/skysports live games, Boxing, F1, Rugby, NHL, NFL, NBA etc....

Ok for movies...usually just movie after movie, lots of channels to choose from, but they have some good new films available, Q of S, Dark Knight, Saw 5 etc...

Hmm. What's the position for the host with posting highly illegal websites on here?

They aren't illegal to be honest, they are simple web feeds from legitimate sites.
Nothing is hosted here.

They absolutely are illegal! Justin.tv shows sports events online that are not licensed to be online. Watching them isn't illegal, but the streams definitely are.

Isn't it a case that it might be considered illegal only in the UK where these sports are ppv? All of the games are shown live without payment in other countries...where the feed comes from, so surely just sharing outside the UK but online is fine. It is then left to the moral judgment of the viewer...

As I said, viewing them is not illegal, but broadcasting over the web for events to which the host does not have rights is. They do not have the right to broadcast them to the UK online or otherwise.

There is an opportunity for New Liebour here, rather then chase the source of the problem, they could hound the viewer with threats of 50 years in jail.

Justin.tv :???: Showing Live Liverpool v West Ham. :???:

As I have the list of all countries and companies that are eligible to take this, ohh look they are not on the list.

In all honesty this IS my job. Why should someone take my pictures illegally and broadcast them?????

I don't speak computers so don't understand these 'proxy servers' you talk of. When it comes to the internet I can find porn and car websites, thats about it.

I just know I couldn't watch Top Gear in the hotel bar in Germany the other weekend. I was forced to be sociable instead
