I had the same issue yesterday and spoke to Cat about it. It seems to be because the one which appears in the new active topics and view your posts links takes you to the traders zone where us mere mortals can't post. If you navigate manually to the topic from the board index, then announcements you should be fine.

mm well it says its locked, i cant click on it but people still seem to be replying to it
