it's a smartphone application that let's your browse and post on forums so you don't have to use a web browser. Should make it quicker and easier to read and post. Yet to actually try it do don't know how well it works in practice. Not that hard to ue forums on iPhone so not sure it's that useful yet.

Not as useful as the "Get a Life" app.

I have tried it, version 1.6 anyway, its good in that you can browse a little quicker and post a little quicker but it lacks one thing that I use and that's the "View new posts" option, which makes it useless to me. (Unless someone has seen that?)

Yeah, £1.79.

But utterly pointless if you have an iPhone. IMO.
Advice taken :salut:

Its not pointless if it works well, saves bandwidth = quicker posting/browsing the forum via iPhone, easier navigation, overall it should be easier. I am just not sure if it works that well.

I actually found it slower to use. Posting replies to topics is a bit of a pain too.

When connected via wifi Safari dominates.

When its not crashing I prefer it to Safari on iphone for this forum. Messages are a lot quicker to compose / send and it logs you in automatically. And if you're in a non-Wifi area this App loads the forum 10 times faster.

Only complaints at the moment are when you view your posts they are in the order you last posted, and not based on whether a particular thread has been updated by someone else since your last post.

Updates screen showing all new posts is a bit messy as well showing the first few lines of each person's post before you enter to read the topic.

If anyone has found a way of fixing or customising particular screens, please let me know.
