Managed to get a car registered to me a £80 fine for pulling into a bus lay by outside Robin Hood airport from a company called VCS ( Private parking company )
I am correct in thinking I have no obligation to reply as they are private ? Looks like a scam letter to me

Ignore it, don't even acknowledge it and it will go away. Enter into any correspondence with them and they will hound you to death!

If it's a DVLA fine then it's not the same, so tread a little more carefully with that one. Best to contact the DVLA directly and enquire.
Any private third party companies can go and fiddle.

It's not direct from the dvla it's a third party company who have sent it called inter credit or something!

Sounds like its a private company just trying to intimidate you into paying it. If you think it might be from the DVLA just ring and ask em if they sent you one.

Best off ignoring them, making contact puts you at the scene, otherwise they need to prove it, and they never will..
