Hi guys,

I need to replace my driver's side OEM shock and the prices from honda are mental for the DC5(200/1) so I heard that you can use civic type r blistein shocks from eightspeed on the integra but you need to replace the track rod ends?

Can someone please advise on which parts I would need and if this is labour intensive to do, don't really want to shell out 800 for a set of coilovers and I beleive at the 8speed site you can actually buy the shocks in sets of two.

As far as the front goes, the only difference between the ep3 and Dc5 shocks is the track rod fitment. The Dc5 track rods are thicker I think and therefore won't fit ep3 coilovers.
The fitment of bother track rod ends are the same for the actual track rods.
Therefore the solution if you are fitting ep3 coilovers to the front is to get ep3 track rod ends.
It's probably advisable to fit new track rod ends anyway since you will probably damage the rubber boot of the old ones when you remove them.

On the rear, the only difference is the lower shock bush. The Dc5 one is slightly wider so when using a Dc5 rear coilover on a ep3 you need to shave the bush down.
And when using ep3 rear coilover on a Dc5 you need the shim the rear bush.

Hope that makes sense.
