Morning all,

Posting here in the hopes that someone can maybe point out something i may have missed with my PC build.

I recently purchased the below items:

* INTEL Skylake i7 6700K 4.0Ghz
* ASUS ROG Maximus VIII Ranger Motherboard
* 32Gb x CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 3200Mhz RAM
* Nvidia GTX 1080
* Corsair 600w Psu

Before i place anything in the case i like to make sure everything works. The CPU was already mounted on the MB with heat-sink and fan so no worries about bent pins. I connected the 24 pin & 8 pin power connectors onto the MB from the psu and the board lights up but wont boot.

Things i have done are: (Cmos was reset each time)

Tested the Psu using a paperclip - This starts up without issue.
unplugged everything except 1 stick of ram/cpu/fan - still doesn't boot
tried different psu - board lights up but still doesn't boot

Any help greatly appreciated.

thanks

Russ
