Made the jump from the N4 to N5 this week. Shouldn't feel like such a massive jump between the devices, but it does. The N4 was no slouch, but the 5 is very good.

Also, I urge people to try the Action Launcher. Very slick

Been using action launcher for long time, very good, very quick and very stable really like the added shortcut sidebar feature, really use the drawer anymore.

Been using muzie as well some good add-on are going around now, can't for the life of me figure out how to use the flicker one though, so currently using 500px.

I'm building my own extension for Muzei, but it's more than just an extension to pull from 500px etc. Should hopefully allow for much more choice and control of the images it uses, along with sharing etc

Anyone know a decent place that can replace screens on N4's? Had a little accident :bigcry:

You can get the parts and tools from eBay. Seems like an easy job if you buy a new screen and digitizer.

Nope. For the price, it's simply not worth it. Probably cheaper to buy a Nexus 5 from CPW

Wouldn't count on insurance. Friends brother in law works at one of them and had to review a case that got escalated. Guy in the army had his phone in a car which blew up (he was in Iraq or similar) and tried to claim off the insurance. All was fine, however they asked him where the phone was in the car. He said on the dashboard which immediately invalidated his insurance as there was a clause stating that if the phone was damaged or stolen when not in the hands of the owner or in a public displayed place, the insurance was void.
Didn't matter that the car had blown up and the phone wouldn't have made it, even it was in the glovebox.

Just one of the many nightmares I've heard! Would rather put £3 a month into a savings account

My bank insurance replaced mine no questions. Accidentally damaged.

I'm still unsure on bank insurance. My bank stated it covered everything, water damage, theft, lost etc, so long as it wasn't due to owner neglect.

I'm sorry, but how do you drop your phone into the bath or lose it, without neglect? Surely leaving your phone in the back of a taxi counts as neglect.

I'm imagine they have all sorts of loopholes.

Basically takes all the intuitive stuff android does and removes it. Can't see anyone buying it unless you've got something to hide or are a government agency

I claimed off of my Natwest phone insurance the other week - I cant fault it. They use Aviva - All i had to do was log in, make the claim online, choose when i wanted the replacement phone (the next day), a man turned up and swapped it and away he went. All for £50 excess (iPhone 5 by the way).

Ended up buying a red N5 which turned up an hour ago, and after selling my N4 will have only cost about £200
