Worrying the number of thefts on here, and the general consensus is that its best to walk away and let the insurance take care of it.
I have however just found this UK legal spray; (inspired by Bird on a Wire being on in the background).

Which obviously opens up a whole can of worms around, what if it didn't work, I guess it would guarantee a right good beating. (It's not Mace). However, I then found this vid;

Looks like its pretty effective, Plus it stains the offender and gives the police a great chance at catching them.
Pretty sure if I'd been done, and if I lived in a city centre (or if we'd had one of the scary break in's happen), I wouldn't mind one of these for a little extra legal protection nearby. So I thought I'd share.
