Long story short, the bottom end of my engine has just gone

I am going to take this opportunity to prep the engine to go boosted (turbo).

I have found a partner who is keen to move forwards with a K series turbo build. They specialise in building and racing other Jap cars and this would not be their first turbo build, just their first K.

I am looking for some guidance from people who have done this before (i.e. gone from N/A to turbo).

Can you please list parts which are needed, particularly the smaller bits and bobs which I might looked over.

Unless you’re going for big power (over 400bhp) internally stock is completely fine.
The rest is pretty much your usual stuff. Heat management is where people seem to slack on and causes melted bulk heads.
