Sounds like some guy teaching you how to drive fast on a public road, how irresponsible is that! Surely Honda wouldn't agree to this.

Shouln't it be on a proper track?

The course isn't designed to help you to drive like a prat.

It's there to teach you how to get the best out of your car,how to drive it correctly and safely,road positioning,gear selection,overtaking manouevres etc etc etc.

Oh fair enough, seems like a good idea then. How do you qualify for the course? I have just bought my ctr a few weeks ago, think would benifit from it.

Are the instructors qualified people? How much is the course

its free, one per car :)

if the car is new, or the previous owners havent taken the course u can do it :)

the instructors are generally ex-traffic police

provide an understanding of the technical specification of the vehicle and how that translates through to the handling and 'drive'
how to get the best performance from the vehicle
demonstrate and develop driving skills in a range of conditions
put those skills into practice
reduce the risk of being in an accident
What's covered?
theory session covering the vehicle specification and special features
pre-drive checks to ensure all the functions are familiar to the driver
practical coaching session to develop driver perception skills
practical coaching session to develop vehicle handling, manoeuvring and 'system' driving
demonstration drive with commentary
individual driving assessment providing constructive advice and encouragement
discussion of learning points and key areas for development
debrief, assessment report and certificate
